Last night was the Christmas program at Zach's school, which included all the classes from preschool to grade 8. His class has been practicing for quite a while, and Zach's been practicing at home. On Thursday afternoon, his class went to a nursing home and sang Jingle Bells, We Wish You A Merry Christmas, and Ring, Ring Your Bell, and did a little finger puppet performance for the residents.
Later that evening, Zach was dressed in his Christmas finest, and all set for the program. He assured us he was going to sing "really loud" so the dogs could hear him all the way at home. In the past, Zach's been a little shy about participating, so we weren't sure how loudly he'd sing.
Here's an iPhone clip of the performance. The gym was packed with hundreds of people, and our seats were far from the stage. Zach's in the middle of his class, slightly to the right in the video.
We're so proud of Zach -- he did sing really loudly and jingled his jingle bell necklace. To celebrate both of our super stars, we went to Starbucks after the performance for hot chocolate and cookies.
