Boo{ed}!

We were boo'ed! On Thursday evening, our doorbell rang at bedtime, and when we answered, no one was there. But we found a bag of goodies along with a note explaining we'd been boo'ed, instructing us to boo two neighbors the next night.

After preschool on Friday, Evan and I got to work preparing our boo goodies. We used an idea from my friend here to make glitter pumpkins, downloaded tags here to dress up some cute Halloween hand soap dispensers, and added some toys (bats, vampire teeth, pencils, light-stick necklaces) and goodies (popcorn, trail mix, Tootsie Rolls and other candy). Then we dressed up some orange gift bags with ribbon, and waited til dark to deliver them.

Craig and the boys ding-dong-ditched our neighbors and escaped without being seen. But on our way home from the bus stop yesterday, one of our neighbor kids accused us of doing the deed...we tried to play it cool...well, as cool as a 4 year-old and 6 year-old can manage. It was an improvement over last year when Zach told our neighbors that we'd done it as soon as he saw them the next day.
