December Daily: 12

Usually we take teacher gifts to school on one of the last days before vacation, but I'm following the lead of my friend Beth and giving the gifts tomorrow, before things get crazy for teachers and students next week.

This year, we're giving the teachers our family Christmas card, a piece of Ghirardelli chocolate, and a gift card to either Amazon.com or Dunkin Donuts. The cute gift card holders actually are meant to hold cookies and were downloaded here.

I stitched buttons from my stash onto the envelopes using baker's twine and attached a tiny gift tag.

Evan's speech therapist  is getting a cute set of personalized note pads.

The boys really enjoy giving gifts, so they'll be excited to head out the school in the morning.

Speaking of gifts, the school hosts a Holiday Gift Shop for kids to shop for gifts for their family members. We sent money with the boys this week to do their shopping, and they are so anxious and thrilled to have gifts to give us that they picked out all by themselves. In the past, we've taken them shopping to pick out gifts for family members, but its way better, in their opinion, to shop all by themselves. The gifts come home in sealed gift bags so we can't see what's inside. The boys wanted us to open the gifts right away, but we had them tuck the gifts away in their rooms so we can open them on Christmas morning.
