The garage sale to benefit Guatemalan orphanages is this Thursday-Saturday, starting at 8AM each day. We were absolutely overwhelmed by all donated items! It took six or seven of us most of a day to sort everything, and several moms are pricing everything tonight. Neighbors were slowing down to a take a look at all the goodies while we were sorting...or maybe just trying to figure out what the mountains of stuff were in the drive way!
We have nice clothes and shoes in every size, accessories, home decor items, high chairs, toys, strollers -- enough to more than fill a three car garage! There are lots of stylish, gently used kids clothes, PJs, and shoes in sizes 9 - 12 mos. to 5T and some 7-8-9 sizes. If you're intersted in checking out the sale, please email me or leave a comment here, and I'll email the location to you. If you have friends in the Indy area who might be interested, please let them know.
The garage sale proceeds are going to benefit two orphanages: Casa Guatemala (http://www.casa-guatemala.org/) and Casa Bernabe (http://www.foce.org/). We've researched both orphanages and verified through personal connections that they're legitimate charities providing quality services to chilren in need. We're hoping to raise at least $2,000 from the sale. Wish us luck!
