Block Party

Our annual neighborhood association black party was full of fun for the boys. As you can guess from this summer's blogs, Zach and Evan have been very interested in (ok, maybe obsessed is a better word) animals, hence all the trips to county fairs and the zoo. Well, the block party was almost too good to be true. There were some real party animals at the picnic -- a horse, miniature horse, baby miniature horse, two llama-alpaca mixes, two goats, and a puppy! How cool is that?

Giddy up, horsey!

Ride 'em, Cowboy!

Zach rode the horse and miniature horse, and Evan sat on the miniature horse. He hasn't quite mastered holding on to the saddle. They had lots of fun petting and feeding the animals. Evan was a wild man, running between all the animals and laughing. When it was time to go home, Zach got to ride the big horse to our house with a neighbor girl. We live in "town," so it was quite the sight to see. Zach is already asking for a miniature horse!

Something you're not likely to see again -- a horse in our driveway!
