Whopper Weekend

Craig and Zach went fishing Sunday afternoon, and Evan wasn't very happy to be left at home. He pounded on the door, cried, and threw himself on the floor for a few minutes after they left...guess hanging out with me isn't nearly as fun as going bye-bye with Zach and Daddy. He probably thought they were going to McDonald's without him!

The fishing trip was a success. Zach really did catch a whopper this time -- a 10" bass -- with his Spider Man fishing pole! When they got home, Zach told me he caught a "big one!" and he was really excited to show me the pics. He said the fish was scary because it was so big. Thanks for the fishing pole, Grandpa!

Can I keep him, Daddy?

After the fishing expedition, the boys helped Craig wash the car...or rather, Craig washed the car while the boys played with the suds and hose. The car and the kids ended up squeaky clean!

On Saturday night, my Supper Club attended the ArtSparkle Gala. The six of us have been going out to dinner once a month for almost nine years, and we have so much fun together. Saturday's event was no exception. It was held outside at the Art Center, and restaurants from all over the city served samplings of their best dishes. The food was yummy, the atmosphere perfect, the company outstanding...did I mention the band? They brought out the Dancing Queen in several (or maybe all?) of us. We had a blast!

One of our members, Wendy, lives out of town and doesn't make it every month. We missed you Wendy! Thanks for pinch hitting, Robyn!
