The drive in has changed a little since the last time I went, which was sometime in the 70's to see The Jungle Book. Gone are the speakers that hang on the car window and not-so-great picture. Now the sound arrives via radio and the picture is digital. Also gone: paying by the car-load.
The boys thought the concept was neat, enjoyed the movie, popcorn, and Alligator juice from the concession stand. We need to work on more comfortable seating next time, though. The back of the van with the 3rd row seats folded down wasn't very comfortable. In fact, we ended up putting the boys' carseats on a blanket behind the van for part of the movie. Maybe next time we'll park facing the movie screen and let the boys watch from the front seats. Or bring lawn chairs. One thing's for sure: we'll be hitting the drive in again!
