Home at Last!

Wow, what a difference a week makes. At this time last week, we were getting ready to leave Guatemala, and now we're home safe and sound as a family of four! We arrived home around 1:30AM on Saturday, and Zach woke up when we came in. He was happy to see us, but not happy to pose for pics at 2:00AM. Check out Zach's expression and his wild hair! Evan was exhausted after a long day of traveling and not much nap time.

Here's a little better family pic without any screaming.

Evan is adjusting to us, and thankfully he's eating better every day. He is very sweet, loves to play, and sleeps like a champ. He's very interested in everything Zach does and enjoys crawling after Zach. Zach has been very helpful and will even willingly share certain toys, but he gets frustrated when Evan doesn't follow orders. Zach asked if Evan was going "bye-bye" for the first couple of days, but now he seems to accept that Evan is going to stick around.

The boys enjoyed finding small gifts in their shoes on Nick's Day, December 6. St. Nick left a matching game and M&Ms for Zach and a Winnie the Pooh blanket toy for Evan. My family celebrated St. Nick's Day when I was growing up, and I loved waking up to find gifts in my shoes. Its so much fun to share this tradition with the boys.

Evan loves bath time, but Zach was hesitant to take a bath with him. Once Zach got in the tub, the boys had a great time. Evan learned to splash back when Zach splashes him.
